Profibus-DP is a vendor independent, open
fieldbus designed for communication between automation control systems and
distributed I/O at the device level.
The 2002 Series Profibus product is designed to conform to the Profibus standard
EN50170. Certification is by the Profibus Interface Center (PIC) according to
the guidelines determined by the Profibus Trade Organization (PTO). The
certification process ensures interoperability for all Profibus devices.
