Our Company:

   Fluid Systems & Components was founded in 1977 by Bob Omohundro as a small operation out of his basement with two product lines, Lynair Cylinders and Thomas Compressors.  In 1981 Numatics chose FSC as their exclusive distributor for Kansas and Western Missouri.  Sales grew rapidly with the addition of the Numatics product line, as did the need for increased office and warehouse space to keep up with customer demand for off the shelf items.

    FSC began a strong growth in sales, employees and product offerings.  Fluid Systems & Components settled in downtown Overland Park for several years.  In late 2001, Bob teamed up with Steve Moffett, a long time fluid power professional in the area.  The two entered into a buy/sell agreement as Bob was starting to think about retirement in the near future.  The two began to increase sales and customer service levels at FSC.  Sales continued to grow and in 2003 Fluid Systems & Components was the winner of the Numatics Elite Eight award showing the largest growth for all Numatics distributors in 2003.

    Since FSC's humble start in Bob's basement over 30 years ago, Fluid Systems & Components now handles over 20 product lines to provide customers a complete one stop shop for pneumatic/hydraulic components.  We pride ourselves in being able to ship most custom manifold assemblies from our inventory in less than 2 days assembled and tested.

    Sales growth of FSC required another move and in 2004 FSC moved to a new modern office/warehouse located in Grandview, Missouri for more space and enough land for future expansion.  In late 2005, Steve's son Brian joined FSC and began the second generation of fluid power sales in the Kansas/Missouri market place.  Bob retired in early 2006 leaving Steve to continue "minding the store" and servicing customers for their pneumatic and hydraulic needs.
